Testing Jing, Free Screen Capture By TechSmith
I don’t really remember where I found this. I think it was one of the blogs I found when I was “MyBlog-hopping”. It turns out that TechSmith, which is famous for its Camtasia, has another screen capture software — and this time it’s free.
Yes, it is. Check out Jing.
Of course, it’s not as huge as Camtasia. There’s no editing tools. Just capture and share. Oh yeah, when I said share, it’s designed to be shared on ScreenCast.com, another product by TechSmith. ScreenCast is a service to host and distribute your online video. With a click on a button, your screen capture gets uploaded to ScreenCast and a link is put into your computer clipboard memory.
If you are on an instant messenger like Google Talk or Yahoo, you can just right-click and choose paste. And you friend on the other end will get to click on the link and see what you were talking about …
