Is Getting Started So Hard?
People always think about doing something but they never really get to it. Sometimes I wonder (even with myself), why is it that getting started is so hard? Let’s not talk about consistent effort. Let’s talk about just getting started today …
So many people want to make money online. They have all these wild ideas (even though I don’t like most of the ideas I hear). But the problem is always about getting started. Maybe it’s because of these wild crazy ideas that they need huge capital to get started, or maybe complicated custom software to be developed, etc …
Why not start with a simple idea. Sell an ebook, or start blogging, or things like that. Wet your feet a little bit before moving over to the bigger things.
When it comes to online, I always see that among the simple little steps that you can take is get a domain name. You don’t need to have a web hosting before you can get a domain name. You can get the web hosting later. So when you have an idea, get the domain name and reserve your spot (sort of).
And then go get the hosting.

Here’s a mindset, a way of thinking that I want you to adopt. It’s the “What’s Next” thinking. Now that you have hosting and domain out of the way, what’s next?
Could it be:
- Product?
- Merchant account?
- Website design?
- Content, coywriting?
- JV partners?
You make your own order. But always think, what’s next. And take small steps, one at a time. And when doing your order list, maybe you can start with the simple things. Something that does not require much time, that can be accomplished easier. It’ll give you momentum when you see you’ve knocked off a lot things from your list.
Again … what’s next?
