The Right Person Is Not Too Far Away

I think I read this in Joe Vitale’s There’s A Customer Born Every Minute. And in his book, he quoted a friend who is a networking expert, saying that the person you want help for your business is not too far away.

I didn’t really intentionally test this out. But I was looking for an illustrator for my latest ebook. I searched at forums, Googled for some phrases … most that I found was either too good, too expensive, didn’t fit my style, etc …

That’s when I suddenly remember my comic artist friend, Rajif. He’s good, he’s really good. In fact he works with a comic production company here in Malaysia. And you know what? Just when I thought of him, his Yahoo Messenger icon blinked, informing me that he’s online now.
I wanted him for my project because I know he’s good. He can draw DC and Marvel type super heroes. And he can draw cute, funny, Smurf kind of comic too. In short, he can adapt the style according to your needs.

But when I asked him what he was doing, he said that he’s swamped, tied between two comic titles that he manages and draw. Hmmm … but then I remembered a magic spell that can work during networking.

With all my might, and all my heart, I spoke the words … “Do you know anybody else who can help?”

“As a matter of fact, I might have someone … I’ll get back to you before noon” Rajif replied.

Later Rajif introduced me to Kamal, who is just as good. He can draw with digital coloring, and he’s fast too. And not to mention a rate that fits my budget. We ended up with 10 illustrations.

Here’s one that he did ..

What do you think?

Hmm … I can’t stop thinking about networking, the law of attraction and the secret. I have been discussing this a lot with friends lately. I can’t stop but to think about how a simple experience has so much meaning, and has taught me so much about how to get what you want in life.
You know what? Whatever you want to achieve, whatever you want to get done, the right person is just out there some where. You just have to open up your intention with God. And then let your universe know about your intention.

May you get everything that you want in life.

Awesome artwork! Hmmm. I may need some soon, myself. Does your artist have an email to contact?

Networking is definitely the way to go. I sold Mary Kay cosmetics years ago, and using networking for everything I did. When I finally got burnt-out on “pink”, I have 400 regular customers, and about 2,500 occasional customers.

How did I network? I offered to do the make-up for weddings. It definitely worked for me.
