“Meet Kidino” Update … And Getting Parking Space
Alright … Maybe I should have write an update sooner …
But here’s the delimma about doing a meet-up like this. For the past few weeks (maybe months), maybe you realize this — the shopping malls are packed, especially during weekends. I blame the movies … Spiderman, Shrek, Ocean 13, Pirate of the Caribbean, etc.
And with all the movies, you’ll be making 5 rounds around the parking lot before you find yourself a parking space (if you are lucky). And at times, you just feel like giving up, pay the parking ticket (that you didn’t actually use) and get the hell out of there.
Coming from me, my wife can vouch for this — I am a very patient guy when it comes to searching for a parking space. I don’t mind paying more as long as I get there sooner, or I don’t have to waste time searching for parking space. Oh yeah, and I am very optimistic too … normally I would go to the nearest entrance and start searching for a parking space from there.
But this part few weeks, well … I worry that it’ll become a problem, not only to me, but also to those who are coming for meet-up.
So the delimma is — where should I have this meet-up?
All the shopping malls are out, especially those with cinema(s) as tenants.
Starbucks … yes, they have free Wi-Fi. But it’s not really convenient for big groups. I am forseeing that there’ll be around 20 people all together — which is a good number. And with the small tables at Starbuck, it’s not a good place. Plus, I think the Wi-Fi, at best is just going to get in the way of a good conversation and networking.
High trafficked places during weekends are out too … that includes Bangsar (plus I don’t want to have to travel too much).
