OK, let say you want to build a new revenue stream on the Internet. And you want to make it auto-pilot. One of the many things that you can do is to put up a name squeeze page, and then write a series of autoresponder emails.

I have been thinking about how best to write a series of autoresponder emails, email copywriting and what not. Not too long ago I checked out my friends dating site. And I subscribed to his dating list just so that I could check out his autoresponder messages.

And you know what, in almost all of his emails, he always make me anxiously waiting for the next email. And I think that was good …

Let me tell you something that he is NOT doing.

Normally with autoresponders, you would write an e-course, telling your readers about a step-by-step process that they can take to achieve something. You would start with an introduction in the first email, step 1 in the second email and it continues.

Here’s where my friend did different.

The first rule is to forget the step-by-step. Second rule, think about VALUABLE but INCOMPLETE information.

Let me give you an example. His site was about dating, right. So you would sign-up to learn how to pick-up girls. And the first email was about how to the girl’s phone number. Let me tell you that there were really good tips in there. And even a little strategy to protect yourself from false number.

But after reading the whole thing in the first email, you can’t stop to think about this one question — how do I start a conversation with the girl in the first place. And that’s where he got you. At the end of the email, he promoted his second email where he will reveal how to start a conversion and get the conversation running.

Hmmm … interesting …

Can you see this? Is this step-by-step? - NO! Is it complete information? Again - NO!

I think this is brilliant. Something that we all should apply in our autoresponder sequence. I should rewrite mine too now.

    Hi Kidino,

    It make sense.

I was listing to Jimmy D. Brown’s February version of List and Traffic Secrets on email marketing and he talks about the same method.

    I must try it myself.
