Iman’s Birthday Is Coming Up …

dscn1736.jpg

I can still remember the labor room … Even though friends, families and even my subscribers warned me about how fast they grow, sometimes, I still can’t believe that she’s about to turn two.

Looking back, it was like yesterday, she was still trying to stand. She stood for a second and then fell. But she tried again. And again …

Well, we all know what a 2-year old can do. She jumps, and climbs and screams, also gets on my nerves at times. But at the end of the day, those memories make you smile.

A child … so innocent, so curious about the world, so willing to learn and not give up.

Iman is sleeping now. But writing all these and looking at her, well … there’re tears in my eyes. Not sadness … I don’t know. I am just moved by warmth and acts of kindness.

You just can’t stop to ponder … what does the future holds for her.

    Hi Kidino,

    Wow! She’s adorable!
She is very lucky to have such a great and caring parents.

I’m looking forward to see how she develops into a grown up. She is very fortunate to have to opportunity to see herself online at such a young age too. :)

    Great job and congrats!

    Hi Iszuddin,

She really is adorable. No wonder she ‘features’ in so many of your emails.

Just remember, when she’s annoying the ‘heck’ out of you, how you would feel if, all of a sudden, she was no longer there.

Treasure every moment, ( and I can see you do), just don’t let the ‘moment’ over-ride your perspective.

    Kind regards

    Ian

  9. Firstly, Wishing Iman A Very Happy Birthday!

Your post is a very moving one. Being a father myself I know a fathers love for his daughter – I have two of them!

May God bless you and your family Kidino.

Your post makes it a joy and a blessing to be human in what at times is a inhumane world.

Thank you – you touched another proud fathers heart with it.

  10. Your daughter looks like she has a personality. Take more pictures and cherish it. I have pictures of my son at two and that’s how I still remember him, even though he just turned eight. This last summer I took my son to Sea-World and we got to go backstage and swim with the whales. He was mad because there were like 10 other kids there too. I told him that wasn’t very many considering the thousands of people that were there. I guess he wanted to be the only one. I told him I couldn’t afford to rent Sea-World for the day!

My only tip is to teach your daughter to be humble and grateful for everything she has and she will probably go far!

  11. Happy Birthday to Iman!
