Goal Setting and Getting it Done …

I got this email from one of my readers asking me about how I deal with Goal Settings. Well, to tell you the truth, I suck at that. I don’t really set goals or put up pictures on the wall … but I do dream.

You see, after watching The Secret, I have a different outlook on Goals. I think what I do most now days is dream. I would sit back, relax and start picturing all the nice things that I want. I would create that picture in my mind where I see my bank account statement has a balance of over one million dollars. And I would see myself at my beautiful bungalow house, sitting beside the pool.

And the best thing is that I don’t really set a time limit for it.

I do know when I want it, but I don’t really make it urgent. Because somehow I know that it will come.

But there’s another thing that I do. When I think about all those that I want, creative ideas just keep pouring. I have ideas for a bunch of projects, and I just go with the ones the ‘feel’ good. Well, as Joe Vitale calls it, intuitive actions … I call it God answering your prayers.

And with projects, I write myself a TO-DO list. I am a lot more productive when I write myself a TO-DO list. I know what needs to get done and how to get it done. And when you look back at your week and see how much you’ve done, you just feel good about yourself … and when you think about those dreams, you know you are getting nearer and nearer to your goals and dreams.

    Hi Kidino,

I admire your set goals and aspirations, but I would like to correct something that you wrote on your sales pitch for BloggingBig.com.

The number’s created for the blogging networks by BlogNetworkList.com are very very fictional and not factual.

Case in point: AOL owns Weblogs Inc which runs the biggest blogs on the Internet. 9rules on the other hand has not made real revenue at all when compared with Weblogs Inc.

The only revenue generating networks are Weblogs Inc, Gawker, Glam and b5media.

Just wanted to let you know Kidino.. if anything I said is wrong please do correct me!

I think the numbers were a valuation of the blog network’s net worth, not the current revenue. Like YouTube for example, who were worth much more than what they actually produced in terms of revenue..

Hmm, quite different way from my way of setting a goal. Usually i just think about what i want (and it always big! dunno why :)) and then start brainstorm for the plan to achieve it.. hey, its look the same with yours now! hehehe

and i agree with Mr Gobala here, it is a valuation of the blog networth worth for .. not its revenue…

read some article from del.icio.us which conclude: “Your value is in your brain.. your profit is in your action” .. same as websites, Its value is in its hidden potential, but the profit is in its financial chart … (and it doesn`t sound having a relation) :D
