How I Build Adsense Sites

I think I need to tell you that this one is longer than usual. I am sharing my actual steps on how I build my Adsense sites.

OK, about that email that I got from a subscriber. Here’s the email that I got.

Dear Kidino,

I joined Niche Products Monthly recently, but I am still finding my way on how to get moving.

I am also into Adsense, just built my info website the last three months or so. And nothing seems to be moving. I am not ashamed to tell you that I have only got just below US$ 2.00 ever since I started.

That’s how bad it is.

Though this lady is having problems with her Niche Products Monthly, what I am to share can be applied to any Adsense sites.

Apart from Niche Products Monthly, there’re a number of private-sites offering private-label articles. And you can build Adsense sites with those too.

Before I go any further, I need to remind you …

Use this at your own risk. This has worked for me, but I cannot guarantee the same results for you. And you know, the search engines keep changing everytime.

If you are OK with that, here’s where the lesson starts.

STEP ONE

Normally, with private-label articles, or turnkey Adsense sites, you are advisable to modify the articles in the website. This is to avoid “duplicate content” in the eyes of the search engines.

Maybe you can reword the sentence or use a similar word for the sentence.

And if you don’t want to, well, I guess you can just put the website up.

BUT — you MUST modify the article if you want to submit the articles in article directories.

STEP TWO

OK, the next part is looking for a niche. If the articles are about trout fishing, try looking for a
niche that doesn’t have a lot of competition in the search engines.

Here’s how you do it.

Go to Overture Search Term Suggestion Tool, and then type in the main keyword.

http://inventory.overture.com

Then start testing the keywords in Google. Look at the number of websites listed for that search.

If the number of websites are less than one million, that is best. But I think you can still go with less than two million.

STEP THREE

Now, here’s the part where you start your link building campaign. Make sure you have decided on a keyword from the previous step.

At this point, I just do the minimum that I can. I got tired of asking and monitoring link requests. Sometimes I build 3 or 4 sites are one go, so I just go through these steps, throw them on the wall, and see which sticks.

What I do is register with IndexGuy.com. I go with the free account. This is where you get thousands of websites linking to you. And of course, you have to install a code which will build a directory on your site. So you too will be linking to thousand of websites.

OK, I know what some might be thinking about this. I am getting too many links too fast … well, this has worked in the past to get Google Spider to come very quickly, and also give you some Pagerank (PR).

Like I said, I am just throwing them on the wall and see which ever sticks.

In the past, I see that I get a PR in a month or so.

STEP FOUR

After this, I register my site with DigitalPoint.com Ad Co-op. This is a free link swap program. But they weigh how valuable your website is according to your website’s PR. And that is why I sign-up with IndexGuy.

http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/ad-network/

You may want to get yourself a Google API License. This is because, they will use that to see your website’s Pagerank.

http://www.google.com/apis/

And I guess that is all. Of course, the actual work is much more than this. You have to put IndexGuy’s directory in your website. And also put a little code in your website for Digital Point’s Ad Co-op.

But at this point, this is all that I do.

I think the most important thing to do is STEP TWO. Let me just give you an example — I have this site about Bass Fishing. But you and I know that the bass fishing search is just too competitive.

There’s over 18 million of websites listed for that term. So instead, I went with Peacock Bass Fishing. There’s only about 388,000 websites listed for that.

So I use Peacock Bass Fishing in my link building. But of course, you have to link it back to a page about Peacock Bass Fishing.

Now, do you think you can do this?

By the way, Article Lightning has a few spots open. So you can get in now and get some private label articles written for you.

Alright, I guess that all this time. You can drop your comment on this.

    Hi Kidino,

    Thanks for sharing the information.

What you have mentioned is very useful for even non-adsense related sites. Like you mentioned, keyword research is the most important part in whole building process. If you get that wrong, you’ll struggle a lot to get decent search engine traffic.

For me, the hardest part is to get the traffic. More traffic means higher possibilities for ads to get clicked and of course more money flows into our pockets.

If we have a higher paid keyword list, we can try some other paid advertising vehicles such as PPC (pay per click), safelist, banner/text ad purchase on other website etc. to get more traffic.

As you mentioned about the link building by letting thousands of websites link to us. I read a lot on google would ban websites gaining rank thru this method. But not sure how true and how fast our site can get banned.

Anyway good tips you share here Kidino. Thnx

    Hi Kidino,

    Tks for the Tips.

I’m still not sure about Index Guy. Some said that most of the links from there are “Junk Links”. Websites with no real contents and no PR.

As for me, I really like the conventional methods. Email potentials link partners with relevents categories, Submission of links to Directories, posting in forums/blogs with your signatures.

Right now I’m experimenting with different techniques too. especially viral techniques.

I think the tips are great. I’m with Hazman though, conventional methods are move time consuming but you get quality links,

plus a software called Reciprocal Manager can do the same as IndexGuy, but you have more control

I am not certain why this happened, however, my Homepage went from a PR4 to a PR2 and 90% of my inside PR all went to PR2 as well. This all happened within the last 4 days.

Additionally, my Google ranking for the keyword ‘option mortgage’ (Google just began about 45 days ago to put me in the Top 1000) so that ranking went from 135 to 431 as of right now.

The ONLY variable that changed was I subscribed to inxexguy.com, absolutely nothing else.

So instead of jumping to conclusions, I wanted to get opinions as to how, since I subscribed to indexguy.com did I become so unfavorable to Google in the last few days.

Please remember that I have done absolutely nothing to our site within the last 30 days except this service.

A friend of mine mentioned that his site went from a PR 2 and PR 1’s to all PR0’s…I just verified it is true as well. He subscribed to your service as well this week….

I also want to add that I am doing one way links and I have limited the # I am using.

I do think you should post on the site that it may be dmaging to your site to add too many too quick….what is too many? And what is too quick?
