What A Property Sales Guy Taught Me About Affiliate Marketing
Alright, here’s something that I have to tell you.
Last weekend my wife and I, and 10-month old Iman went to a new housing project.
The sales guy, Adnan, took us own a tour of the whole area and also into a show unit. He’s a nice guy, very convincing and we sensed the sincerity. That shined through the best … and we saw that he wasn’t trying too hard to convince us.
So we ended up taking up the offer. We placed a booking for the house and will arrange for a mortgage later.
But that’s not the reason why …
Let me tell you one thing that Adnan did.
You see, the first phase is ready, and owners are starting to move in. Guess who’s one of the owners for the first phase? Yep, Adnan himself.
Among the things that he shared are how nice the neighbors are. And since it’s a new residential area, there aren’t many people living there yet. So these few neighbors would gather, plan and celebrate events together. What he’s trying to say is that the people there are also helpful, friendly, and good neighbors.
So by the end of the day, Adnan was not selling the house, he’s selling the good experience of living there. And he’s doing that from his own experience.
How more convincing can he be?
But of course, things like amenities, etc was also discussed.
So all these reminded me of how I do my marketing online.
In this year, I promoted a number of things as an affiliate. I emailed my list about products, ebooks, software, subscriptions … etc …
And most of the times, the things made more money for me are the things that I have myself. Things that I personally spent money on, and use myself.
XSitePro is one of them. List and Traffic is another.
I am gonna change my marketing strategy for 2006. Maybe you should think about this as well.
