Matt Furey is among the people that I subscribe to. Now if you don’t know who this guy is, he’s a world kung-fu champion — and a great information marketer too.

Well, his recent mailing was great. With the things that I am experiencing (my 3-month resignation notice), I consider his message is rather timely, at least for me.

Now, I think this is valuable. That is why, with his permission (or precisely Sean Furey), I am republishing this article here. You need this … so keep reading. I am reprinting everything including his credits and some promo to his seminar …

Hi Kidino,

You’ve probably heard the saying, ‘Success breeds success.’ And it’s true. But do you know what. It is ONLY true if you think about it.

Here’s what I mean: Suppose you win an award, get a nice raise in pay, enjoy a fabulous wedding, earn a whopping commision on a sale, attract the man or woman of your dreams, get straight A’s - or some other thing. Well, all of the above do you no good, in terms of building a powerful self-image, if you don’t relive them and think about them.

Many years ago I met a man who told me that the only reason he was successful in business was because he was successful in football.

Huh?

He explained that when he could no longer play football, he went into business, even though he had no experience. So how did he succeed. Well, he told himself that if he could become a great football player, he could become a great businessman.

The two skills have nothing to do with each other - but then again, they have EVERYTHING to do with each other. Why? Because this man was able to build his confidence to do something new by recalling and reliving something else that he succeeded in, that, at one time, he couldn’t do either.

Suppose you weren’t a great football player. That’s fine. You do have SOMETHING you did, even one time, that makes you feel good inside. You did SOMETHING that once gave you a feeling of accomplishment and well-being.

Okay.

So once you’ve remembered what that experience was … you simply think about it, relive the same good feelings - and yes, they’re still locked inside your mind - then you transfer that good feeling to the goal that you want to achieve in the future.

Maybe the happiest day you can think of is your wedding (or, in some cases your divorce). Maybe it’s when you graduated high school, college, grad school, law or medical school. It doesn’t matter what it was. Just summon those positive vibes - then tell yourself, ‘If I could do (fill in the blank) then I can do (fill in the blank).

I think you’ll find it incredibly powerful. How do I know.

Because I’ve done this over and over again - and I KNOW that it works.

Of course, there’s a lot more you can learn to move yourself ahead much more rapidly. You’ll find it in Dr. Maxwell Maltz’
Zero Resistance Living course. It’s a 12-week program that’ll put you in the driver’s seat on the road to success. Go get it

Best,

Matt Furey

It takes a great man to understand that if one can be great at one big thing (football) then he could be a great marketer. It comes down to believing what you can do and then just do it!
For me I gave up a major bad habit, and I think back on the reasons why I did I know that from that the day I could handle anything thrown my way.
3 years ago I didn’t even know how to turn a computer on , today I cause my friends eyes to glaze over when I talk about what I do with having a web site and what it takes to do that.
It takes believing in oneself, I tell myself everyday I did the right thing 3 years ago and I can handle anything thrown at me.

That and I have had kids, but thats not something a guy can really relate to. ;)

Later Kidino, Good luck you did the right thing giving up your job!
