Watching Katrina from Malaysia
If you don’t know this, I live in Malaysia. One thing, I don’t have CNN at home. But the local news have been covering quite a lot on Katrina.
And it’s a good thing that I have broadband. I watched some videos at MSN, and watching the babies and children go without water, milk, food … that really breaks your heart.
I have a baby myself, Iman. She’s 6-month old. And I imagine what would happen to her if she has to go without milk and food. I just couldn’t bare it.
And at the same time, I am reading and watching … I believe that it’s not that there’s not enough fund. It’s not that’s there’s no money to go around … it’s about how responsive responsible parties are supposed to act.
But the videos just break my heart. At times, I tried so hard to keep tears from rolling down my cheeks.
