I like the idea of pairing your blog and ezine. There are things that I post only in emails. And there are things that I post only on the blog. But if you combine the two, it really is a powerful strategy.

Yes, asking people to comment the posts on the blog is one way. And I also ask people to write to me. So far I’ve asked about how’s the whether at their place. I’ve asked about what they did on the weekend, etc … Some are surprised that I actually reply them.

And at times, you need to write something other than the marketing things. That’s why I share about my trips, my baby (Iman) and other things. Sometimes these get more response than my marketing normal posts.

Anyway, here’s three surefire topics that you can do to really boost response. But don’t do it often because you need to keep to your main topic. They are babies, tough women (as in successful) and pets – trust me!

And yes … not everybody will write to you. But I believe that you’ll build some loyal silent readers, even if they are only reading and not responding. Like how I am with some ezines that I subscribe. Getting emails and feedbacks is a good indicator that you are doing the right thing.

And sometimes, just to get the rough idea how many loyal silent readers you have, you can offer a free download and see how many downloads you get. At times, you even create a survey that guarantees answers are anonymous … and again, see how many responded.

I am a satisfied customer of yours and i always appreciate your view on internet marketing.

This piece on creating a relationship with your subscribers is so obvious but many leave it out.

But I have a question: So you have a list and you contact them regularly giving valuable info.

How do you actually interact with them? This is basically a one way transaction right…

I would like to know what you think about this and how exactly you accomplish that..

This way of inviting your subsribers to comment your blog is one way I understand..
