I had a similar story, as I work as a mechanic repairing forktrucks.
I had a customer query his bill in the same way as the guy in your story, as we had charged him travel time (which he agreed to in the original contract) I told him the same thing, he wasn&#039;t paying for the fix itself but for the knowledge of how to fix his forklift. I also reminded him of his words to our receptionist, that it was costing him money to have it not working. That was the closing of the debate, he realised he couldn&#039;t wriggle out of paying after that.
