Tsunami Hits Malaysia
I got a few emails asking how I am doing after the earthquake outside the Sumatera seas. The earthquake caused huge Tsunamis hitting Sumatera, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Thailand.
I just would like to say that people in Selangor and KL are OK. We do feel a bit of the shake — nothing disastrous though. But for some in Penang, Kedah, Perak and Perlis — things are worse. So far 50 were announced dead because of the waves. Most of them were fishermen and picnicers at beaches. Waves rosed at 6-8 meters high (about 3-4 storeys high) when it hit beaches.
And from the news, Sri Lanka was hit even worse. The total death toll all over the world because of this is said to have reached 10,000.
